Privacy Policy

Drone Survey Costa Rica ("we," "us," or "our") operates the LandIQ CR Land Finder (the "Land Finder"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including for buyers outside Costa Rica, since many Land Finder users are researching a purchase from abroad.

Our authentication provider (Supabase) sets a session cookie so you stay signed in. We do not currently run any third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the Land Finder. Our hosting provider may log basic technical request data (IP address, timestamps) for security and reliability purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

The Land Finder uses a session cookie set by our authentication provider (Supabase) solely to keep you signed in to your Workspace. We do not use advertising cookies or social-media tracking pixels.

We retain account, Workspace, and purchase data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to handle support requests, accounting, and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account data at any time (Section 6).

7. Children's Privacy

The Land Finder is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Data Protection Under Costa Rican Law, and for Foreign Buyers

As a Costa Rican business, we comply with the Ley de Protección de la Persona frente al Tratamiento de sus Datos Personales (Law No. 8968) and its regulations, which establish principles of informed consent, purpose limitation, data quality, and security. The supervisory authority is the Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes (PRODHAB). You may file a complaint with PRODHAB in addition to contacting us directly.

Many Land Finder users are researching Costa Rica property from the United States, Canada, or the EU/EEA. If you are located in the EU/EEA or another jurisdiction with its own data protection law (such as the GDPR), you generally have equivalent rights to those in Section 6 — access, correction, deletion, and objection — and can exercise them the same way, by emailing us. We aim to honor the strongest applicable standard rather than the minimum required by any one jurisdiction, but this Policy does not constitute a jurisdiction-specific legal compliance certification.

9. Data Security

We rely on our providers' security infrastructure (Supabase, Stripe, Vercel) and apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
